Can Anything Good Come Out of Englewood by Marcus Robinson

when you think of Chicago's Englewood community you think of the horror and violence that exist there. how can any living thing grow in a soil that's toxic. how can a Rose grow amongst weeds? the children in Englewood are very talented and creative.  they live in a toxic environment they are like flowers growing amongst weeds, the young man you see here  had to grow up early YNS PJ Young and Striving to be the best and lead his family out of poverty.  he's not the only one some of the guys he hangs with are just as talented. Englewood doesn't have the resources to nurture that talent and guide them in the right direction. I grew up in Englewood myself and it was rough but I too was talented and  taught myself Photography and started writing poetry and short plays. yes they wear their pants low and rep their environment but not all are into that life style, while I never claimed my allegiance to any street gangs or hood clicks as a teenager simply because of how I was raised. my cousins on the other hand did hang with a gang. but that wasn't for me I saw a different Chicago and that is why I do most of my photo shoots downtown. I saw a video of this young man and I was blown away of the talent he and his friends possess. they know how to put together a professional video with little resources they used their Iphones to edit their videos as if it were done in a high price production studio.  go check him out on facebook
